Raw Honeycomb Tub

Superfood from the hives, raw honeycomb at its finest

The most nutritious of all raw honey is honey still sealed in the wax cells of the honeycomb. Honey in its purest form (inside the cells) contains very little water. But honey, when exposed to air, has a tendency to pull water from the atmosphere. Thus ensuring honeycomb honey is packed with vitamins, enzymes, pollen and antioxidants.

Our hand-cut raw honeycomb is finally here for those that like just the comb! It is available in two varieties, our beautiful Cambridgeshire Borage honeycomb and our Acacia variety from Hungary which has
a very pleasant mild taste with hints of vanilla. Both are suitable for all the family due to its fresh and light flavour.

Our Hungarian Acacia honey has a low glucose content so tends to stay runny for much longer than other light coloured honeys.

A common question we are asked is regarding the wax and if it can be eaten. The simple answer is yes you can! Although it can be very chewy, and makes for a good, natural alternative to chewing gum. However it isn't advisable for it to be consumed in large quantities.

Our Acacia honeycomb comes in three sizes;

  • a 500g durable plastic reusable tub with a versatile lid which is great for taking out chunks and keeping the rest of the comb fresh when replaced. (weight can fluctuate based on harvest and comb size, minimum net weight 475g)
  • a 400g durable plastic reusable tub with a versatile lid which is great for taking out chunks and keeping the rest of the comb fresh when replaced. (weight can fluctuate based on harvest and comb size, minimum net weight 400g)
  • a 200g durable plastic reusable tub with a versatile lid which is great for taking out chunks and keeping the rest of the comb fresh when replaced(weight can fluctuate based on harvest and comb size, minimum net weight 185g)
