A Beautiful Light Floral-Citrus Honey

*A 2 STAR GREAT TASTE AWARD WINNER 2021!

Imagine a spoonful of sweet nectar that transports you to the rolling hills of Northumberland and across Hadrians Wall. Floral notes with a beautiful citrus tang of lime.. Its a honey to delight the senses.

A 2 star Great Taste Award winner for 2021 with one of the judges commenting:

"Wonderful golden honey with an excellent viscosity and a fabulous herbal aroma. The flavour is full on giving you savoury as well as sweet notes with the lime really bringing a great further dimension."

This delicious runny honey has a light golden colour and smooth texture. It is quite floral and has a distinct citrus flavour with a suggestion of toffee. As it is a natural product some jars may vary in taste with more notes of citrus. The main flavours come from a mix of native wildflowers including Blackberry, Thistle, Clover, Heather and Lime with a great mix of clover, hedgerow and trees. This honey is carefully and lovingly harvested, It is pure, unpasteurised and raw.

Produced by our ethical beekeeper whose apiaries are located in the diverse landscapes of Tyne and Wear to the wilds of Northumberland. There is an abundance and variety of forage for the bees to collect nectar and pollen. A simply yummy honey which can be used as a substitute for sugar in cooking and hot drinks. It adds flavour and sweetness without overpowering other tastes, great to use every day on toast or cereals etc.

This honey may crystallise over time in cold temperatures, and may turn a creamy white colour. Simply place the jar in some hot water for a few minutes to make the honey runny again.

Uses

With its light flavour this multi-floral honey is great in baking, smoothies, marinades, salad dressings and to sweeten teas.

    I liked it

Never liked the idea of honey, just not a thing for me but I’m surprised how nice it was. Taken to a little blob on my toast and I hope somewhere down the line it will do me some good lol
